Central Europe: Place to visit, this “Summer of 2019”

Central Europe is fast emerging & most sought-after tourist destination among the travelers and there are few cities there which have stolen the limelight in recent years. Thus it is widely believed that your visit to Europe is incomplete if you do not visit the vibrant cities of Prague, Vienna, Salzburg and Budapest.

These cities are famous for their architecture, Palaces, hot thermal springs and scenic views. An entire itinerary of Central Europe could completely focus on these cities for a magical and unforgettable holiday experience.

 

Prague: Charming alleyways, Vltava River running through the city and striking castle atop a hill are the places that one should visit in the Czech Capital – Prague. The city has so much to offer that it will keep you busy for good 3-4 days. The spirited nightlife here should be in your list to experience.

Vienna: Impressive and imperial, one of the grandest city in Europe is Vienna. Schönbrunn Palace, the former summer residence of the Hapsburgs. It is highly recommend coming here! It’s a very well laid out and interactive, with a free audio guide with your ticket. The palace and museum focus on the royalty who lived here, particularly, Franz Joseph who at 18 became ruler and survived the suicide of his son, the murder of his wife Sisi, and even throughout WWI, he was beloved by the country for his hard work ethic.

This city is charming and one can spend good 2-3 days in here.

Salzburg (literal meaning “Salt Castle”) is the fourth largest city in Austria. Tourists are always inclined to its historic centre and the scenic Alpine surroundings. The city was the setting for the musical play and the film “The Sound Of Music”.

 

Budapest: The illuminating and glittering ~ Budapest is the city that looks glamorous on the surface but when dig deep it is full of blustery past. Now with influence from the Turkish Ottoman Empire and Austrian Habsburg Empire, Budapest is one of Europe’s most unique cities to visit with many thermal baths and imperial architecture. There are many places to keep you engaged for 3-4 days.

The vibrant colourful capital cities are a treat to the eyes. A 7-10 day trip is good enough to know these places well and enjoy every bit spent here. The end result is definitely a happy traveler with lots to take back home.
